Well, back from the convention; and now what my friends and I call "Post-Con Depression" is in full effect

(what happens when you realize the geek-filled weekend is over, and you have another whole year until the next one ^_^).
Here is a link to a gallery I made of some of the Hot Fangrrls, as well as some others

:
[link]You'll forgive me for replacing my own face and the face of my friend with a "Smiley"; with the content of my blog I don't want to reveal my 'secret identity', or run any risk of getting my friend in trouble by being associated with me

As always, the worst thing about the convention is that they have so much activities scheueled against each other.
I did manage to attend a Leonard Nimoy panel (by getting in line nearly a hour early, and still only got a seat in the middle of the audience). A suprise in the panel was when William Shatner game on stage also to ask a few questions of Nimoy

There were costumes galore, and I atended the primary costume constest (the Masquerade), MCeed by Peter David and George Perez (a comic writer and an artist, the latter probably best known for his extended runs on the Avengers over the years, and the former for his 12 year run on "The Hulk").
On the more 'naughty' side of the convention, there was a costume contest called "DragonCon "After Dark", where the more risque/over the top costumes were displayed (not necessarily showing a lot of skin, but anything considered too extreme for the more 'family friendly' Masquerade).
There was also a late-nite panel called "Dub your own Hentai", where snippets of various hentai animes were shown, and people from the audience were picked to provide their own voice-overs (quite hilarious; one person did a perfect "Hank Hill" for example

). It was also, strangely enough, quite popular; they held two sessions because of the demand (only one was schedueled).
All in all I enjoyed the convention, although I don't think I will attend next year (it was fun, but not as fun as the first ones I attended years ago, so maybe its time to find another convention to attend next year).
Oh well; still have another 3 days off before desending into the depths of Hell again for another year (*sigh*)

Later today (Fri, Sept 4th), myself and a friend will be heading off to DragonCon, a sci-fi/fantasy/comic convention held yearly in Atlanta, GA:
[link]For most of the past 10 years or so I have attended this convention, although Fate (and funds

) has worked against me and kept me from going for the past couple of years.
Even this year its partially working against me (I would like to attend the entire weekend, but can only afford Saturday and Sunday). That's okay, though; most of the really good stuff occurs on Saturday anyway (many people only purchase tickets for that day).
I was able to borrow some really good cameras from a tech friend of mine, so I should be able to take some good images of all the hot Fangrrrls there

(I'll post a couple here, and maybe nake a gallery elsewhere, although I won't be putting them up on my blog).
Ahhhhh.... an entire week of being away from my little Circle of Hell otherwise known as my job, and an entire weekend of being around "My People" (fellow Geeks

).
This is going to So Rock!!!! ^_^
